Client Services
What I do for clients is really limited only by our imaginations. Here are some of the services I have done for clients, or that I am now offering to clients. Note that most of my clients are developers themselves, with varying degrees of experience.
Services:
| Architect | Design system from data to UI. This is the one where the domain expert has to be willing to put in a lot of time, or it doesn't work. "Just do it whatever way you think..." is an invitation to disaster. |
| Troubleshoot | Fix what doesn't work; implement what isn't available. It generally goes like this: "how do I..." to which I reply "you can't until I build you a..." |
| Training | See the description of what I offer. I end up training all my clients in one way or another. |
| Support | A new service: for those who have taken my training, or have been my clients long enough to have gotten my "system" of doing things down pretty well, I will be offering a private newsgroup, where I can support them in the use of the advanced programming tools and techniques they have learned from me, and where they can support each other in this effort. |
| Project Lead | Pull together a software development team for a particular purpose; coordinate and facilitate the working of the team. If you have outsourcing needs, I can probably get a team together than can do your project. And if I can't, I'll tell you that. |
