Support Plans

My Advanced Training courses come with 3 months free support, through a private newsgroup and through software updates at a private FTP site. There's always more to learn, and there's always more software being updated or added, and so I've created Advanced Training Support.

Support is available to those who have taken the Advanced Training and to those who work with a developer who has taken Advanced Training. I expect those who have taken the training to "spread the wealth" so-to-speak; but those who have gotten it second-hand are going to want to ask questions on their own, without having to funnel everything through one developer.

Graduates of the Advanced Training courses may use the materials anywhere they work. Where the Advanced Training was paid for by a place of employment, that place of employment may use the materials in any of its applications. These copyrights (see Hank's Copyleft and Hank's Copyright) are for the materials distributed at the time of the class.

To obtain, and use, updates for software tools covered by Hank's Copyright there must be one support plan for each user. If there are 6 developers, but only two use these tools, then two support plans must be purchased. The reason for this, other than a desire to be compensated for work, is practical: these tools are constantly evolving, and this means that the level of support required is quite high. Without support, the tools quickly would become unusable. For those tools covered under Hank's Copyleft, anyplace you get the tools will give you the right to use them. What you gain with a support plan is easy access to updates, and the ability to interact over the tools and their use.

From the standpoint of the sponsoring organization, the Advanced Training followed up by continuing Support can form the basis for programming stability in your organizations. Developers come and go; but by using these tools, you can send them to ProSysPlus for training, provide them support, and they will be productive in your system much more quickly than if they had to "pick it up" as they went along.

In order to make it practical, and financially desirable, for all developers in an organization to be covered by Support, I have created a pricing structure which I believe to be fair to all involved. Support contracts are purchasable in 6-months or greater contracts, at the following prices:

Developer 6 Month Contract 1 Year Contract
1st
$299
$499
2nd
$199
$349
3 or more, each
