Our story begins in 1994, when the value of metadata in programming was only beginning to be understood at the personal computer level: it had been in mainframes for some time, but had not yet migrated to personal computers.

We took a framework developed for Visual FoxPro (the most productive development environment of the time), combined with the best extensible Entity-Relationship Design tool of the time, and glued the two together with our own tool and libraries. The result of our efforts was arguably the most efficient tool at letting domain experts achieve professional software development results. Enterprise applications written in this set of tools run in the US, Europe, and a number of ASEAN countries.

Now we are moving to Lianja, taking a great development platform (much more sophisticated than we had with VFP, and yet as easy to use), and are in the process of creating new tools and libraries to support our everyday work with Lianja.
